Arlene MacSween

Director of Administration

Arlene MacSween joined HSVC in 2002 and has more than two decades of experience supporting the organization’s administrative and operational foundation. Over the years, she has held key leadership roles such as Assistant Shelter Director, Director of Operations and, in 2026, was appointed Director of Administration.

In her current role, Arlene provides leadership and oversight of HSVC’s administrative functions, ensuring that internal systems, policies, and procedures are well organized, compliant, and responsive to the needs of the organization. She oversees administrative staff, office management, facilities coordination, and vendor relationships.

Arlene’s work focuses on building strong internal structures that allow HSVC’s programs and animal care teams to do their best work. Known for her steady leadership, attention to detail, and deep institutional knowledge, she plays a key role in maintaining a well-run and supportive workplace environment.
