Responsible pet ownership includes making sure your pet is happy & healthy-nutritious food, routine grooming, proper exercise, regular health exams, and vaccinations are all part of being a pet parent.

Proper care can really add up and taking preventive measures is one of the best ways to balance your budget while getting quality care for your pet. Vaccinating your pet is the best way to keep them safe from serious and potentially fatal diseases such as rabies, distemper, parvovirus, infectious hepatitis, Bordetella, feline leukemia and more. Vaccinating your pets protects them from diseases that can be very expensive and difficult to treat.

The Humane Society of Ventura County is dedicated to providing quality services to our community and hosts a Low Cost Shot Clinic on the first and third Saturday of each month. The clinic, brought to you by Lewis Veterinary, takes place at the shelter in Ojai between 10am and 1pm.

Dog licenses are also available through the front office, licenses are $20 with a spay/neuter certificate or $100 without. Make sure to bring proof of rabies vaccination and cash or check made out to Ventura County Animal Services.

All animals MUST be on a leash or in a carrier. For information on pricing, please call Dr. Lewis at 805-646-2442.

Humane Society of Ventura County is located at 402 Bryant St. in Ojai, CA. 805-646-6505.
