While the threat of Lyme diseases is commonly associated with ticks on the east coast, it’s important to be aware that there are many different types of ticks and diseases that can be passed to dogs, cats, and humans right here in California.

Happy National Donut Day from the sweetest cat around! Little Violet was brought to the HSVC as a stray with two other kittens when they were only weeks old. Violet has grown up at the shelter and is ready to start an adventure all her own! Don't forget that June is Adopt-A-Cat month and all cat and kitten adoptions are only $60!

June is Adopt-a-Cat month and at the Humane Society of Ventura County we are celebrating with discounted adoption fees on all cats!
