HSVC Partners with Kirby Subaru as Newest DoorDash Host Location

We are very excited to announce Kirby Subaru of Ventura is now a host location of DoorDash in partnership with the HSVC, Interface Children & Family Services Ventura County 2.1.1. and United Way! With this program, pet owners in need will be able to receive free pet food delivered by DoorDash within a ten-mile radius of any of our host locations throughout Ventura County.

Thank You, Ava!

The HSVC would like to extend a big thank you to 5-year-old Ava for donating money to our shelter to help animals in need! With the help of her mom, Ava hosted a lemonade stand in her neighborhood and sold cookies and lemonade. She raised over $60 for the animals at our shelter, way to go Ava!

Introducing Humane Officer Utter!

The Humane Society of Ventura County is proud to introduce Humane Officer Jenna Utter. Utter was officially sworn in on June 16th by Judge Henry Walsh at the Ventura County Courthouse. A ceremony was later held at the shelter in Ojai where Officer Utter’s badge was presented to her by Director of Investigations Jeff Hoffman, Senior Humane Officer King, and her father, Steven Utter. Utter’s family, Vice President of the Board Sheila Kane McCollum, and the entire HSVC staff were present to celebrate her milestone.
