Mela's Surgery - Only $600 Left To Go!

We have wonderful news! Mela's surgery has been officially scheduled for March 2nd! Mela was brought to the Humane Society of Ventura County on January 15th after being pulled from a high kill shelter by a private rescue group. Mela is an absolute doll but has a medical condition that requires the support of our community to get her back on her feet.

Five Dollar Friday - Eight Dogs Rescued in Ventura County

Two weeks ago, on February 4th, 8 dogs were brought to the Humane Society of Ventura County after being rescued by Humane Officer Vail and officer-in-training Winwood. Humane Officer Vail had received two separate anonymous calls in regards to dogs living in very poor conditions. The dogs were signed over to the HSVC after the previous owners agreed that it would be best for the dogs to be in our care until they can be re-homed.
