Happy 93rd Birthday, Allyn Wilkinson!

HSVC staff recently wished a very happy 93rd birthday to longtime friend of the shelter, Allyn Wilkinson. Allyn and his sons, Dan and Dean, stopped by the shelter for a special celebration complete with decorations, cupcakes, and our entire staff present to sing happy birthday to Allyn.

Pupdate: Aria's Puppies are 6-weeks-old!

Aria's puppies are getting so big! Now 6-weeks-old, each pup is as adorably fluffy as the next with personalities to match. They love playing tug-of-war with toys, wrestling with their siblings, and of course, following mama Aria everywhere she goes.

HSVC Clinic Fixes Over 100 Cats in January!

The HSVC would like to give a shoutout to our amazing Clinic staff for reaching their goal of fixing over 100 cats in the month of January! According to Director of Veterinary Medicine Dr. Christina Sisk, this hefty goal was made possible thanks to our $25 January Feline Fix Promotion, Community Cat program, and spay/neuter fund. Great job Clinic staff!

Welcome, Cecelia and Shyann!

In December of 2021, Humane Officers brought in two miniature horses, Shyann and Cecelia, from separate cases. Each horse had severely overgrown hooves and needed immediate care. After being examined by Veterinarian Dr. April Armstrong, we learned that both Shyann and Cecelia would need ongoing care and, unfortunately, long-term care. Over the past month and a half, our staff has gotten to know the spunky minis personalities and they have become beloved by all at the Shelter.
