Weekend Recap

It was a busy and eventful weekend for the HSVC! We hosted another HSVC Cares free vaccine clinic at The Wharf in Ventura, attended Ventura Marathon's packet pickup, and participated in the race excitement by manning a water station in Ojai. We had a blast at all three events, and we hope those who joined us did too!

It was a rainy morning at the HSVC Cares free vaccine clinic at The Wharf Ventura this past Saturday! Rain or shine, our staff and volunteers were prepared to offer free vaccines to those willing to brave the weather. We were able to administer over 100 free vaccines to furry friends in need! Way to go HSVC Cares!

Across town, Volunteer Coordinator Jennifer Grimm attended the Ventura Marathon packet pickup event and hosted a booth with volunteers (above, left). It was a great opportunity to share information about the shelter and meet some of our biggest supporters.

On Sunday, HSVC's Executive Director Eric Knight, Community Development Manager Steve McCurry (both pictured above, center), Director of Development Amber Landis, and several volunteers were up bright and early to man a water station in Ojai along the route of the Ventura Marathon. It was a morning full of excitement!

Thank you to all who attended, volunteered at, or worked one of the events this weekend. We loved being out in the community and spreading the word about the HSVC, and we know we couldn't do it without our supporters and partners!
