Animal Furiends Enjoy Week Two of Summer Camp

Our young furiends had so much fun during week two of Animal Adventure Camp! With nature exploration, animal interactions, crafts, and more, this week was nonstop fun at the HSVC!

(Above) With temperatures in Ojai soaring, Campers participated in indoor activities from the comfort of our cat room to beat the heat. What a fun learning environment!

This year's camp focuses on themes of interconnectedness, nature, and humane animal care education. Campers were encouraged to use sustainable items from nature for each camp activity. (Above) This group really enjoyed making "fairy houses" from recycled tree stumps, branches, pine cones, and more!

Our Early Explorers Camp got a special treat this week! Each of our younger animal friends got the chance to meet Wendy Nova and give her a makeover (above). Don't worry, the paint is nontoxic and specifically made for horses! It washed right off and Wendy Nova didn't seem to mind the extra pampering!
