For 87 years the HSVC has provided vital services to the community. Besides our adoption center, we also have our low-cost spay and neuter clinic that alters not only the animals here at the Shelter but for the public as well. Humane Education has always been one of our top priorities. We have visited thousands of classrooms, children and youth organizations, service clubs and various functions promoting the protection of and kindness to all living beings and our environment. Our badged and trained Humane Officers have been responsible for alleviating the suffering of many animals throughout the county. The Humane Society alongside other emergency agencies is always involved in rescuing animals during fires, floods, and other disasters. The Shelter is a busy place - we never know what it’s going to be like from day-to-day!
