Volunteers Make a Difference!

Every day at 10am, Tony comes in to the Humane Society of Ventura County to volunteer with the animals. For two years, he has donated his time working with small and medium size dogs to help them get adopted.

Tony enjoys working with dogs that have been at the HSVC for a while and his favorite thing to do while volunteering is getting them out of the kennels for their daily walks. When asked why he started to volunteer he said, “I enjoy working with animals,” and it shows in his dedication. Tony is also a regular at our booth when the HSVC is present at events. When there are dogs at the event, Tony introduces the dogs to potential adopters and helps them get to know the dogs.

Tony is the perfect example of what volunteering at the Humane Society of Ventura County is about. The HSVC could not be who we are without the help of our volunteers. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at (805)646-6505x110or by email at [email protected].
