HSVC Spreads Love at Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast

It was an afternoon full of fun and food at Sunday's Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast! Our volunteers were treated to a delicious spread of breakfast foods, goodie bags, raffle prizes, and more. Thank you to all of our volunteers who attended the celebration, and thank you to all the shelter staff who helped shower our beloved volunteers with some much-deserved praise!

As an organization originally founded by volunteers, we know we would not be able to continue providing our lifesaving services without the assistance of our volunteers. These individuals lend their time, skills, and passion to help us accomplish our mission of providing care and protection to animals in need. They spend countless hours putting the needs of the animals before their own, and we are so grateful for their service!

After breakfast, Volunteer Coordinator Jennifer Grimm (above, left) and Executive Director Eric Knight (above, right) addressed the group to share their appreciation.

"Volunteers are the heart and soul of the shelter. They get involved purely because they love animals and they want to help us make a difference. It's incredible to see the difference a volunteer can make in the life of a shelter animal just by coming in to socialize with them or provide some form of enrichment. We are so grateful to have so many wonderful volunteers!" said Volunteer Coordinator Jennifer.

From all of us at the HSVC, thank you volunteers for your devoted service and kindness to animals in need! If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Jennifer at [email protected] or visit our website for more information.
