Local Artist Turns 30 Year Retrospective into Funds for Nonprofits
Thank you, Valerie Freeman, for your donation in support of the programs and services offered by the Humane Society of Ventura County. Freeman, a long-time Ojai Studio Artist, recently hosted an exhibit “Vie d’Art” at the Ojai Art Center highlighting treasured pieces she had created over the past 30-years.
At a closing reception and live auction, Freeman donated proceeds from the sales of her work to several nonprofits throughout the area including the HSVC. “What an honor to be included as a recipient of Valerie Freeman’s fundraising efforts,” said Greg Cooper, Director of Community Outreach for the HSVC who was on hand for the closing reception. “Every donation makes a difference and allows the HSVC to offer our services countywide,” continued Cooper.
