Make a gift, change a life! Today, the world over kicks off the charitable season by celebrating Giving Tuesday. Starting on November 29th, and continuing through the end of year, individuals and communities selflessly show their support for organizations worldwide that offer services to those in need. We invite our supporters to participate in this global movement by making a donation to help improve the lives of animals right here in Ventura County.

For 84 years, the Humane Society of Ventura County has served the community with the goal of improving the lives of animals in need. All of our achievements have been made possible with the generosity of our supporters, whether it be donations, volunteering, or adopting. However, money is essential to achieving our goals for the animals. With your support, the Humane Society of Ventura County will be able to continue its mission: Promoting the health, safety, welfare, compassionate care and protection of all animals through education and community outreach programs. Your donations provide shelter, medical care, spay and neuter, and adoptions for the animals entrusted in our care. But that’s not all, the HSVC also educates the community about respect and kindness to all animals and is home to Ventura County’s only two Humane Officer’s who investigate cases of animal neglect and cruelty. 

As a private, non-profit organization we do not receive funding from the government or national animal welfare organizations like Humane Society of the United States or ASPCA. We depend on people who selflessly give to the animals and the programs that support them. This Giving Tuesday,  we humbly ask our supporters to include the Humane Society of Ventura County in their contributions this giving season! You can even make a donation in honor of a loved one on your holiday shopping list and we will send them a card on your behalf acknowledging your donation.
