For over 87 years, the Humane Society of Ventura County has served the community with the goal of improving the lives of animals in need. All of our achievements have been made possible with the generosity of our supporters, whether it be donations, volunteering, or adopting. However, money is essential to achieving our goals for the animals. Your donations provide shelter, medical care, spay and neuter, and adoptions for the animals entrusted in our care. But that’s not all, the HSVC also educates the community about respect and kindness to all animals and is home to Ventura County’s only two Humane Officers who investigate cases of animal neglect and cruelty.

As a private, non-profit organization we do not receive funding from the government or national animal welfare organizations like the Humane Society of the United States or ASPCA. We depend on people who generously give to the animals and the programs that support them. This Giving Tuesday, we humbly ask our supporters to include the Humane Society of Ventura County in their contributions this giving season.
