The Humane Society of Ventura County sends a special thanks to Brad Smulson and Michael Smulson with Operation Blankets of Love for their delivery of donated blankets, food, toys and crates. Assistant Shelter Director Arlene MacSween was on hand for the delivery of supplies which filled a van. Also donated was a box of English/Spanish activity books to be used for children learning about the humane treatment of animals.

Long-time HSVC supporter Carol Pierce introduced Brad and his wife Eileen (co-founders of OBOL) to the Shelter and suggested that OBOL work with the Shelter as a recipient of donated goods.

Operation Blankets of Love has been busy supporting many animal rescues and shelters throughout California, particularly with this year’s devastating fires. The HSVC is grateful for the support from this Los Angeles based non-profit. “These supplies will go a long way assisting the HSVC staff in providing care and comfort to the animals on the Shelter property,” said Greg Cooper, Director of Community Outreach for the HSVC.
