The HSVC would like to extend a HUGE thank you to Jocelyn and her friends who donated $500 to the shelter in honor of her 12th birthday today!

Jocelyn, a local Ojai resident, has always loved animals and the Humane Society of Ventura County. This year for her birthday, Jocelyn (center) asked her friends and family to give her money instead of presents to donate to the HSVC. She and her friends visited the shelter to donate the money as part of her birthday party. As a thank you, they also all received HSVC lunchboxes as party favors!

Jocelyn has two dogs, Baxter and Tink, and one cat named Mittens. Her family adopted Baxter from the Humane Society of Ventura County three years ago.
