Thank you to Friso Aukes who spent the whole day at The Humane Society of Ventura County volunteering! Friso is from Amsterdam and is visiting Southern California on holiday.

Friso learned about the HSVC during the Thomas Fire and wished he lived closer so he could have helped. When he planned his holiday, he reached out to us to see if there was anyway he could come up and help. We of course said yes! Friso helped down in the horse barn, cleaning and spending some time with our horses, and helpedto spruce up the grounds by trimming trees! He also spent some time with Carter, who has been at the shelter since before the fire. Thank you Friso!
