Thank You Mr. and Mrs. Eichele!

It takes a village to run a nonprofit animal shelter. The Humane Society of Ventura County is no exception. We are fortunate to have the support of so many individuals, businesses, and community partners. Wayne and Pam Eichele are two of them who recently announced a commitment to include the HSVC in their estate planning.

Thinking about their legacy, they started researching local non-profits and charities for their estate planning. Mr. and Mrs. Eichele enlisted the help of The Ventura County Community Foundation to find a local nonprofit to support. Their desire was to keep their donations in the community where they live. Assistance League of Ventura County, Food Share,  RAIN Project, the HSVC, and Wayne’s alma mater, Tusculum University, will receive the Eichele’s support.

Long-time pet lovers, the Eicheles wanted one of their chosen charities to be animal-related. The HSVC came up in their research and after a visit to the Shelter, Wayne and Pam knew they had a good fit. “The mission of the HSVC is more in line with the values of the type of organization we want to support.” They said that after they met the staff and toured the Shelter they were very impressed and grateful for the dedication that goes into caring for the animals (and people) of Ventura County. “The HSVC has done so much for our County, particularly during the wildfires. This is one of the most worthwhile organizations to support,” said Pam.

These partnerships contribute in a meaningful way to our mission. The countless animals and their human companions that will benefit from their generosity will help the HSVC fulfill our Mission for years to come. “It also provides a way for us to leave a meaningful legacy. We are comforted in knowing our gift will live long after we are gone,” said Wayne. Thank you to all of our partners, supporters, and donors for helping us continue to make a difference in the lives of animals in need!
