The HSVC would like to extend a huge thank you to all who donated pet food for our furry friends via our Wishlists! We were blown away by the generosity of our community and are thrilled to share we received 120 cases of puppy and dog food, that’s 1440 cans total! The Shelter is now fully stocked and ready to spoil our pups!

We recently put out a call on social media for puppy food after noticing our food bank was running low. Animal lovers from all over the country sprang into action to help. Not only was our Shelter gifted over 1400 cans of food, but we also received 70 bags of dry dog food totaling over 1350 pounds! Not to mention the 85 pounds of dry cat food we were gifted for our feline friends!

But that’s not all! In addition to dog food, our generous supporters gifted 12 bags of guinea pig food and 16 bags of bedding for our pint-sized furry friends. We also received wet cat food and several new toys for our Shelter animals to play with. From the entire staff and animals of the HSVC, thank you to all who donated to help make a difference in the lives of animals in need!

As a private nonprofit, the HSVC does not receive any funding from the government or any other national animal welfare organization.
