A Home for Oreo

After a five-month stay at the Humane Society of Ventura County, Oreo has finally found his forever home with Carol!

Our handsome boy Oreo first arrived at the Humane Society of Ventura County in late August of 2019 after being rescued by our Humane Officers. At 12-years-old, this Poodle/Shih Tzu mix came into the shelter very frightened and with severely matted fur.

After some tender care and a much-needed hair cut, Oreo quickly became comfortable with our shelter staff. It didn't take long for Oreo to become a favorite among our volunteers. He was taken for lots of walks and given the love and affection he deserved.

His future forever owner, Carol, came into the shelter in late January looking for a companion. She laid eyes on Oreo and knew it was a match made in heaven. Congratulations Oreo and Carol on finding each other. Happy trails!
