Success Stories - A Loving Home For Buddy

buddy.adopt.jpg

Senior sweetheart Buddy has been adopted! After 11 months at the HSVC, Buddy was not only one of our longest residents, but at 12 years old, he was also one of our oldest. Buddy was brought to the shelter last February with 7 other dogs that were rescued in the field by our Humane Officers.

Buddy adjusted to the shelter in no time and has made many friends since his arrival. His cheerful personality and friendly disposition brought him lots of attention, however it wasn’t until recently that Buddy found himself the perfect home.

Volunteer and shelter supporter John Darling had been fostering Buddy for the past month. That name may sound familiar to those of you who follow our adoption stories as the benefactor of Tinker’s Treat. Tinker’s Treat was a program designed to assist senior dogs in shelters and has benefited many dogs here at the Humane Society of Ventura County!

As you can see from the photos Buddy has settled in nicely into his new home and living the life he deserves. Thank you John for all you do for our senior friends!
