Starla finally has the forever family she deserves! She has been adopted by Gina, Jesse, and their brood of fellow HSVC alums Jackson and Raven!

Sweet girl Starla, formerly Star, first came to the HSVC in January after she was surrendered in the field to our Humane Officers. The miniature poodle mix weighed a heartbreaking 7.51 lbs when she arrived at the shelter, which is about half of what she should weigh. Our dedicated staff and Dr. Sallen diligently watched over Star to help her regain her weight and she was able to make a full recovery!

Jesse and Gina, HSVC's onsite caretakers, witnessed Starla's recovery firsthand each day at the shelter. They were inspired by her strength and fell in love with her loving personality. They officially made her a member of their family in mid-May and have been loving life with her ever since! Thank you, Gina and Jesse, for giving Starla her second chance!
