Spring Break Camp 2016 - Spots Still Available!
There are still spots available in next weeks Spring Break Camp! The Humane Society of Ventura County is offering a fun, service and learning oriented spring break camp sessions for age groups 9-14.
If you are in search of some quality activities for your kids during spring break week and have a child passionate about animals then this may be the solution for you! An array of topics will be covered in this week long camp and will include hands on work with shelter animals as well as information about animals in the wild, both locally and around the world.
This fun, service learning experience will include:
*Hands on work with dogs and cats at the shelter
*Create a personalized tag for a pet or your backpack
*Learn how to train animals
*Discussions on animal safety and care awareness
* Meet a unique rescued animal every day
*Learn about local animals and what we can do to help them
*Discuss the exotic animal pet trade and its impact
*Learn about endangered species and ecosystems around the Earth
Monday-Friday, March 28th-April 1st
Hours 10:00-2:30 The cost is $135
Camp space is limited to 8 or 9 campers. Register early to reserve a spot.
