A big thank you goes out to April Armstrong, DVM and Farrier Stacy Hyatt for coming out to the shelter to give our horses some much-needed makeovers! Our horses got their hooves trimmed and filed, their manes brushed, and dental work on their teeth. They are happier than ever thanks to their care.

The Humane Society of Ventura County is dedicated to proper care for our horses as well as educating others on how to care for them. Regular hoof and teeth maintenance in addition to consistent Veterinarian check-ups are necessary to maintain the well-being of all horses.
