The Humane Society of Ventura County’s 33rd Annual Santa Paws holiday photo shoot is this Sunday in Ojai! This popular event will also feature a bake sale and Firefly Ceramics will be on hand providing the materials to make ceramic paw print ornaments for a $25 donation to the Shelter.

Santa Paws is our largest event bringing in nearly 300 families to celebrate the holidays with professional quality photographs with a holiday theme. The money raised at Santa Paws goes directly towards the daily operations at the Shelter.

Adults, children, and pets are welcome in photos with or without Santa. The Shelter will have many festive costumes to doll up your pets if you are in the mood. Pocket pets, reptiles, rabbits, and birds are all welcome!

As a private nonprofit, the Humane Society of Ventura County relies 100% on private donations from individuals, organizations, businesses and through grants and trusts. In any given year, we make contact with thousands of animals through our adoptions, low-cost spay and neuter clinic, our Humane Officers and outreach efforts including our Humane Educator.

Your support is vital in our efforts to provide our daily services and we ask that you making a donation while enjoying the holiday atmosphere. Your donation is tax deductible.

The packages for your holiday photo session start at $30 and include 5-10 images. For a larger donation, you will also have access to some wonderful HSVC keepsakes including the 2019 HSVC Calendar and more. All images will be provided on-site on a USB flash drive.

“The passion and commitment from the staff and the quality of the photography from Santa Paws is why I keep coming back every holiday season,” said Penny Harvey, a long-time HSVC supporter.

For 33 years, the HSVC Santa Paws has been providing high-quality holiday family portraits for Ventura County residents and beyond. “Seeing the joy in the families, their pets and Santa during the session continues to be very rewarding,” said Greg Cooper, Director of Community Outreach and official photographer for the event. Between our Santa, Jolene our Shelter Director, and all of the HSVC staff, volunteers, and sponsors that make this event possible, we are once again excited to see you stop in for your photo shoot during one of our two dates.
