Be part of a Ventura County tradition! This year marks the 29th annual Santa Paws event to raise much needed funds for animals in need through out the area. Get a festive holiday photo with you and your pets while supporting your local no-kill shelter!
The Humane Society of Ventura County has been servicing the animals of Ventura County since 1932. Traditionally, an animal shelter is thought of as solely a place for animals to seek refuge until a permanent home can be found. While here at the Humane Society of Ventura County we provide this safe refuge, we also strive to remedy the greater problem of animal overpopulation, abuse and neglect. We are dedicated to promoting the health, safety, welfare, compassionate care and protection of all animals in the Ventura County through education and community outreach programs.
All of our programs and services are funded one hundred percent by donations, memorials and sponsorships. Events such as Santa Paws and the funds they generate is what keeps our doors open!
Photo registration starts at 10 a.m. Cost is $25 for a CD. For an additional donation receive several photos on CD available immediately. Adults and children are welcome in photos —with or without Santa. If you don't have a pet, just bring your children and avoid the long lines at the Mall. All funds benefit the animals of the HSVC Shelter and Adoption Center.
Please make sure to bring your dogs on a leash and cats in a carrier. We will have many festive pet costumes to doll up your pets if you are in the mood. Pocket pets, reptiles, and birds are also welcome.
