Pet of the Week - Rocky
Handsome Rocky is quite the lover! This German Shepherd and Boxer mix is a little over a year old and as you can see in the picture, he is quite the ladies man!
Just like his name implies, Rocky is on the strong side and is working very hard with staff and volunteers to walk politely on a leash. Besides his good looks, Rocky has a sweet personality and behind those intelligent eyes is a smart and willing dog. Rocky has been described by staff as a "lap dog" who loves to cuddle! Rocky will require regular training from a strong leader to help build his confidence and help him become the well mannered young man he longs to be. If you are interested in meeting Rocky, please visit the shelter today!
Included with every dog adoption will be the first DHLPP shot of the series, a rabies vaccine, a medical exam good for up to three days from participating veterinarians, implanting an identification microchip (registration extra), spay or neuter surgery if necessary as well as a collar, ID tag and a leash.
For dog adoptions, a yard check will be performed prior to adoption. In addition to adequate fencing and shelter, those wishing to adopt a pet must provide either proof of ownership of the residence or a rental agreement for that address indicating that pets are allowed.
