We would like to give a big shoutout to our animal-loving friends at Rincon Brewery in Ventura for helping us raise money as part of the #BettyWhiteChallenge! Rincon hosted a fundraiser event from January 14th through 17th in which attendees were encouraged to purchase a $7 beer to honor the beloved actress. All proceeds from their Ventura location were then donated to the HSVC. Thank you, Rincon, for being a friend to animals in need and making Betty White proud!

There were lots of familiar faces at Rincon's event to celebrate what would've been Betty's 100th birthday. Rincon Brewery first opened its doors in 2014 in Carpenteria, CA. They opened their second location, located just off the 101 freeway in Ventura, in late 2018, and their third location in Santa Barbara in 2020. They serve delicious craft beers and quality food, plus they're dog-friendly!

The fundraiser attracted animal lovers from all over Ventura County. Thank you to all who stopped by to buy a beer for a good cause. We owe our success to all of our incredible donors and supporters!

As a private nonprofit, the HSVC relies entirely on donations from our community to continue providing our services. We do not receive any funding from the government and we are not affiliated with the National Humane Society, ASPCA, or any other national animal welfare organization.
