Rescue Pup Finds Her Forever Home!

There is no greater feeling than watching a rescue dog be adopted into a loving home. Such was the case with Fiona who was rescued in the field by Humane Officers back in May along with 3 other dogs. Fiona, who at the time of her rescue was only 12 weeks old, has come along way from the frightened little girl she once was.

Of the four Akitas rescued back in May, the two adults went to a wonderful rescue and Fiona’s brother Theo was quickly adopted. We knew Fiona was going to grow up to be a big girl and would need an experienced family. That’s when the Manar family came along! The Manar’s have had Akitas in the past and are very familiar with the breed and their needs. They worked closely with Officer Vail ,who was handling Fiona’s adoption, to make sure that they could give this sweet girl the best life. We were all so happy to see Fiona go home with David, Monica, and Quinn on Saturday and it looks like Fiona was pretty happy too!

Thank you to everyone who supported Fiona during her stay with us. We are especially grateful to officer's Vail and Winwood who rescued her in the field, to the staff and volunteers who helped Fiona come out of her shell with their patience and commitment, and to the many supporters who made monetary donations to cover her care.
