Reily the Adventurer

Congratulations Reily on finding your forever home with Annie and Matt! "Happy trails" takes a literal meaning with this adoption success story.

Reily is a 1-year-old black and tan German Shepherd who was transferred to the Humane Society of Ventura County from one of our rescue partners. Upon intake, his name was changed from Rambo to Reily to better fit his beyond sweet personality.

Reily had been residing at the shelter since mid-December and was looking for a family as active and energetic as he was. Annie and Matt first laid eyes on Reily while taking a "quick tour" around the shelter and knew they had to have him. Matt and Annie are avid hikers and love the outdoors, so we knew this was the perfect home for this active pup. The couple is shown above on Reily's adoption day in mid-January.

Annie and Matt hike with their 3-year-old daughter Milly 1-2 hours every day. They plan on taking Reily on lots of fun hiking excursions and outdoor adventures. We are so happy this handsome boy has found his forever home. Happy trails Reily, Annie, Milly, and Matt!
