Pollinator Garden Decorating Fun

We had so much fun at yesterday's Pollinator Garden Decorating event! Thank you to those that came out to help us beautify our new garden and learn more about pollinators!

We were very excited to kick off #PollinatorWeek by hosting an event to promote the benefits of pollinator gardens to animals and the ecosystems we live in! Humane Educator Angie Sagliani had an amazing set up next to our garden with educational material provided by The Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation and Ojai's Green Valley Project. Attendees were also able to paint rocks with eco-friendly paint to decorate the garden.

In addition to rock painting, visitors were encouraged to create their own mini garden with the many supplies provided by the shelter. We had so much watching all the creativity unfold and we can't wait to host another pollinator decorating event soon!
