It's a Pittie Pawlooza here at HSVC! Beginning on Monday, June 2nd, and continuing through Monday, June 30th, you can visit the HSVC and bring home any Pitbull-type dog for FREE! For a limited time, all adoption fees for these loving and loyal dogs will be completely waived. This is your chance to welcome a new best friend into your life and make a difference for a breed that is too often misunderstood.

Pitbull-type dogs are known for their affectionate nature, playful personalities, and strong bonds with their humans. Unfortunately, they also face stigma and are frequently overlooked in shelters. At HSVC, we believe every dog deserves a loving home, and our Pittie Pawlooza adoption special is our way of celebrating everything that makes these dogs so special. Whether you're an experienced pittie owner or just learning about the breed, we invite you to come meet our amazing adoptable dogs and see for yourself why they’re so beloved by those who know them. While adoption fees are waived, please keep in mind we will still follow our standard adoption process to ensure every match is the right fit.

All pitbull-type breeds are eligible for this special! Other dog breeds, horses, and cats are excluded. Included with every dog adoption will be the first DHPP shot of the series (if age allows),  a rabies vaccine (if age allows), a wellness check good for up to three days from participating veterinarians, implanting an identification microchip with registration, spay or neuter surgery, if necessary, as well as a collar, ID tag, and a leash.

The shelter is located at 402 Bryant St. in Ojai, and visiting hours are Monday through Saturday between 10 am and 4:30 pm.
