Pints & Pups was a Huge Success!

Sunday's Pints & Pups event was a huge success! Our staff and volunteers had so much fun interacting with fellow animal lovers and sharing information about the shelter. Not to mention the gorgeous weather! We couldn't have asked for a better day. Thank you to our friends at Ventura Coast Brewing Company for hosting us, and thank you to Val of Dogtown Ventura for coordinating such an awesome event for the community!

The real stars of the afternoon were our three adoptable dogs! Lady Bear (left), Camila (center), and Ellie (right) all attended the event and had so much fun! We are so proud of how well they did outside of the shelter meeting new friends. Each pup is still patiently waiting for a forever home of their own. Stop by the shelter (402 Bryant St. Ojai, CA) if you are interested in making one of these cuties a part of your family!

Above, left: Val, a dedicated HSVC volunteer and owner of Dogtown Ventura, organized the Pints & Pups event. She hosted a booth and even sold tickets for a special drawing. The winner won a basket full of doggie swag from her store, and all the proceeds went to the shelter! Val also arranged for Cotton & Comb to attend the event and offer hand stamped ID tags for the dogs. Thank you for your support and dedication to helping animals in need, Val!

Above, center: HSVC pup Bok Choy popped by the event with his foster pawrents. We were so happy to see him doing so well. He's still looking for a forever home! Call the shelter at 805-646-6505 if you are interested!

We also want to give a shoutout to our Animal Ambassador volunteers. This event would not have been successful without you! Our Ambassadors helped with setup and takedown, handled dogs during the event, and answered questions about all things HSVC. We are so grateful for their help!
