Penelope, a 9-year-old Basset Hound/Dachsund mix came to our Shelter at the start of the new year through a rescue transfer. Spend five minutes with Penelope and you won't believe she is a senior pup! She will play fetch for days and even nudge the toy closer to you as she waits impatiently for it to be thrown. This goofy girl loves belly rubs and playing with new friends.

Included with every dog adoption will be the first DHPP shot of the series (if age allows), a rabies vaccine (if age allows), wellness check good for up to three days from participating veterinarians, implanting an identification microchip with registration, spay or neuter surgery, if necessary, as well as a collar, ID tag, and a leash.
