Pet of the Week - Chief

Meet Chief, a handsome 25-year-old quarterhorse looking for a forever home! Chief was brought to the HSVC by our Humane Officers earlier this year as part of a humane investigation. He was severely underweight when he first arrived, but thanks to our dedicated shelter staff, Chief has since gained back all of his weight to become a happy and healthy horse. At 15.3 hands, Chief is good for his hoof trimmings, likes baths, and loves to be brushed and walked. He is fully retired from riding but would make an excellent companion for anyone looking for a friendly horse.

All horse adoptions are $200 and all applications for Chief will be reviewed by our Humane Officers. If you are interested in making Chief a part of your family, please call the shelter at 805-646-6505 for more information.
