Pet Food Bank

FoodBank_HSVC02.jpgHUMANE SOCIETY OF VENTURA COUNTY PET FOOD BANK

The Pet Food Bank provides free pet food to low-income pet guardians. One of the most common reasons for pet relinquishment is a financial difficulty, and the Pet Food Bank hopes to help people who are struggling to keep their beloved pets. The Pet Food Bank is entirely supported through community donations. We are always in need of Dog and Cat food, wet or dry, to keep the Pet Food Bank stocked! You can drop off donations at our location at 402 Bryant St in Ojai. Food is available on a first-come, first-served basis until we run out.

PANTRY FOR PAWS

Pantry 4 Paws, a countywide pilot program from the Humane Society of Ventura County offers pet food banks in remote locations. With distribution facilities across Ventura County, the new program aims to feed the dogs of homeless and underserved communities across the county.

Those who’d like to support the HSVC’s Pantry 4 Paws program can drop off unopened bags of dry dog or cat food at the Ojai shelter, at 402 Bryant St. Also, the HSVC Amazon Wish List has been updated to include examples of requested food.

Any welfare agencies, nonprofits or businesses that offer assistance to the homeless in Ventura County and are interested in hosting a Pantry 4 Paws dispenser at no cost should contact Greg Cooper, Director of Community Outreach at the HSVC: GregC@hsvc.org or 805-646-6505.
