Pantry 4 Paws Provides 761 Pounds of Pet Food in One Month!

The HSVC is proud to share last month our Pantry 4 Paws program provided a whopping 761 pounds to pet owners in need! That's a 300% increase from the last four months! Through this program, pet owners can receive free dog and cat food via one of our many remote pet food banks throughout Ventura County.

HSVC Volunteer Coordinator Audra Lucas has been working tirelessly to expand the Shelter's outreach efforts to assist those in need. "Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, we have been seeing an increase in the need of discounted or free pet food throughout Ventura County. Our Pantry 4 Paws program has been able to provide assistance for those in need to help pets stay in their homes where they belong, instead of in shelters," said Lucas.
