For 84 years the Humane Society of Ventura County has provided services to the community to improve the lives of animals in need. We invite you to come celebrate with us all the lives that have been saved and advancements in animal welfare in our community at our Open House and Kennel Campaign Kick Off on Saturday, June 11th from 10-4:00!

This is your chance to get a behind the scenes peek at the facility, interact with animals, tour the kennels and clinic, meet the staff, and learn about our different volunteer opportunities. Bring the whole family to enjoy refreshments, participate in our scavenger hunt and learn more about how YOU can make a difference in the lives of animals in need!

One of this years main attractions will be the launch of our Tiles for Tails fundraising campaign to raise money for the rebuilding of our 34 year-old kennels.

Humane Educator Dawn Reily will be giving presentations with her assortment of critters, so bring the kids!

Humane Officers will be on hand to give you a look into the responsibilities and duties of protecting animals throughout the county.

Our Volunteer Coordinator will have information available on how you can help support the shelter and the multitude  of volunteer opportunities we have available including our Junior Volunteer program aimed at school age children 10-15!

And of course what would a visit to a shelter be without the main attraction-the animals! We have a full house of critters available for adoption, you never know when you are going to meet your new best friends!

For more information please call the shelter at 805-646-6505.
