Congratulations, Officer Wagoner!

The Humane Society of Ventura County is excited to officially introduce the newest member of our Investigations Team, Officer Jordan Wagoner! She was officially sworn in at the Ventura County Courthouse on December 12th and ceremoniously badged by Director of Field Operations Kendra King at the shelter yesterday. Officer Wagoner is joining a prestigious team of Humane Officers that serve all of Ventura County. Together, they support our community by investigating situations of animal abuse, neglect, and cruelty.

Currently pursuing an associate degree in criminal justice, Jordan has always been drawn to the animal-related aspects of the field. Her deep interest in animal behavior and rehabilitation has helped shape a compassionate, education-based approach to care, one that centers on understanding each animal’s unique story and needs. As a Humane Officer, Jordan is especially focused on learning how to better identify signs of neglect or abuse, advocate for animals in need, and build strong, trust-based relationships within the community. She is committed to becoming a knowledgeable and empathetic officer, guided by the belief that every animal deserves protection, respect, and a chance at a better life.

Officer Wagoner's friends, family, and fellow HSVC staff were in attendance to mark this monumental occasion. Congratulations on this career milestone, Officer Wagoner!
