Fall is in the air, and there’s no better way to celebrate the season than with cider in hand and a furry friend by your side! Join us at Night Owl Ciderworks on Sunday, October 12th, from 1 pm to 4 pm for a Ciders & Sidekicks Adoption Event. Night Owl Ciderworks is located at 607 E. Main St., Unit C, in Ventura, adjacent to Starbucks and Blenders.

Our adoptable dogs will be looking forward to a cozy afternoon out in the crisp fall air, ready to charm you with wagging tails and warm cuddles. Whether you’re searching for a hiking buddy to enjoy autumn’s trails or a couch-snuggling companion to cozy up with, this event is the perfect chance to find your match. Pair delicious locally crafted cider with puppy kisses and discover how sweet the season can be when you adopt a shelter dog.

To make the day even more exciting, we are offering on-site adoptions for just $12. Each adoption includes spay or neuter, up-to-date vaccinations, microchipping, and a complimentary wellness exam with a participating veterinarian. This is a wonderful opportunity to open your heart and home to a furry friend while also supporting HSVC’s mission to provide shelter, care, and love to animals in need.

Even if you’re not quite ready to adopt, we encourage you to stop by and show your support. Your presence helps our animals socialize in the real world and raises awareness about adoption. Bring your friends, enjoy a cider, and maybe head home with your new sidekick. We can’t wait to see you there!

Can’t make it to the event? Don't worry, October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month and Pit Bull Awareness Month, and adoption fees for our dogs at the shelter match the day’s date. For example, $5 on the 5th, $6 on the 6th, and so on. The earlier you visit, the bigger the savings; you won't want to miss this deal!
