The Many Ways Junior Volunteers Give Back

By Franki Williams

The Humane Society of Ventura County is very lucky to have volunteers of all ages. Our Junior Volunteer Program allows children who are ten years or older to begin making a difference in the lives of animals in our county. These volunteers, along with their parents, work to teach dogs and cats the joys of playing ball, chasing toys, and cuddling in our laps. It also gives the shelter a chance to learn how the animals do with children in a safe and healthy environment.
