PET OF THE WEEK - SHADOW

SHADOW.jpg

This little man is ShadowShadow is a 3 year old Chihuahua/Schipperke mix who is blind in his left eye from a previous accident. Shadow was surrendered to the shelter by his owners because they did not have the resources to care for him. Shadow's lack of sight in his left eye seems to have very little impact on him and how he experiences the world! He can maneuver just fine and we have not witnessed any instances of him bumping into things or being "clumsy". Dogs can be extremely resilient and can adapt quickly to changes of all kinds!

Adoption Counselor Kendra immediately starting browsing online to see if she could find an owner and found a post on Craigslist from someone whose dog had got out the night before in the same area. Kendra called the number and it was a match! Not all dogs are as lucky.
