Celebrating 32 Years of Service - Thank You Liz Cameron!

The HSVC would like to congratulate Liz Cameron of Ventura County Code Enforcement on her retirement! For the past 32 years, Liz has worked alongside our Humane Officers during investigations of animal abuse and neglect. She is hardworking, dedicated, and we will miss her! As a token of our appreciation, the HSVC will be adding a paver stone to our onsite memory garden in honor of Liz's years of service.

Only 11 more days until #GivingTuesday! That means it’s time for another #FiveDollarFriday! Did you know the HSVC has the only two Humane Officers in Ventura County? Humane Officers protect animals from abusive or neglectful owners, investigate cases of animal cruelty, and educate the public on how to properly care for animals. They assist in evacuations during natural disasters and work with local authorities to ensure our community is safer for animals.

The HSVC would like to extend a big thank you to the students of Ojai Valley School for their generous donation of over $600! Alex (pictured), Eugene (pictured), and their fellow classmates sold handmade pottery at the Ojai Day festival and donated all proceeds to our Shelter. From all of us at the HSVC, thank you for helping us make a difference in the lives of animals in need!
