Spending time outside, hiking, swimming, camping, or whatever it is that calls to us is always more fun with our canine friends by our side. We are fortunate here in Southern California to have beautiful weather year round, but our warmer weather also makes for the perfect climate for venomous snakes.

Help Shelter Dogs Stay Cool!

As temperatures rise, shady areas become a hot commodity at the shelter. With our kennels close to capacity more areas where animals and humans can rest and relax is essential to their health and safety. Animals can suffer from heat stroke and other heat related illnesses in a variety of ways and here at the shelter it is a top priority to make sure that all animals, volunteers, and staff keep cool during these hot summer months.
