The Humane Society of Ventura County is a compassionate care shelter and non-profit organization dedicated to the protection and adoption of animals in need throughout Ventura County.
Special thanks to the Ventura Chamber for their fundraising efforts! Every year two of their groups have a fundraising drive for area nonprofits and this year the Humane Society of Ventura County and S.P.A.R.C. were the recipients.

The Humane Society of Ventura County was amongst the honorees at an event today at the Ventura County Board of Supervisor’s meeting. Public agencies, organizations and nonprofits from all over the county were on hand to be acknowledged during an hour-long ceremony honoring those who provided support and services during the Thomas Fire.

Over the weekend, the Humane Society of Ventura County celebrated 86 years of service in Ventura County by hosting an Open House. The Shelter’s Board of Directors and staff was on hand to answer questions and tours were available throughout the shelter.
A special thanks to Diego, Roman and Jared for their donation of $160.07 to the Humane Society of Ventura County. The 7th grade students from Sunset School in Oak View, collected recyclables from December through the end of the school year to raise money for the HSVC.
You might have noticed the dust and commotion going on down in the horse area at the Humane Society of Ventura County this past month. Thanks to the support of several community partners, we have just completed revamping our horse corral to better serve our needs.
