Rescue Pup Finds Her Forever Home!

There is no greater feeling than watching a rescue dog be adopted into a loving home. Such was the case with Fiona who was rescued in the field by Humane Officers back in May along with 3 other dogs. Fiona, who at the time of her rescue was only 12 weeks old, has come along way from the frightened little girl she once was.

Greg's Pup-Corn Challenge!

Last week Director of Community Outreach Greg A. Cooper took the Pup-Corn Challenge to raise awareness and much needed funds to rebuild the Humane Society of Ventura County's 35 year old kennels. Supporters made their pledges and tuned in last Friday to see how many of these delicious treats Greg could "woof" down in under five minutes, all while discussing the benefits of a new kennel to the community.

Rescued Keko is Ready For Her Forever Home!

This past week Humane Officer Winwood responded to an anonymous tip in regards to a dog who was in extremely poor condition. When Officer Winwood arrived on the scene she found a young soft-coated Wheaten Terrier and Poodle mix, now named Keko, alone in the alley covered in matts.
