In 2011, Michelle moved to Oxnard from Cincinnati, Ohio.  She has founded two businesses - a promotional products company and a non-profit furniture consignment store.  For 25 years, Michelle also volunteered with animal organizations, focusing on high-volume spay/neuter to reduce euthanasia rates and helping the pets of the homeless in Ventura County.  Four years ago, Michelle visited HSVC and was so impressed with the staff and shelter, that she immediately signed up to be a volunteer.  Michelle enjoyed socializing with the large dogs, participating in fundraising projects, and is excited to join the Board of Directors.
