Mama Juliet is Thriving in her Furever Home!

Six months post-adoption and Mama Juliet is thriving in her furever home! According to her new mom, Janis, it only took a couple of weeks for the sweet German Shepherd to adjust to her new surroundings. Juliet now spends her time going for morning and evening walks and being a faithful companion dog to Janis and Michael.
Many people became familiar with Juliet's story after she was transferred to the HSVC from Kern County Animal Services. She was very pregnant at the time and gave birth to 13 puppies shortly after arriving at our Shelter on Easter Sunday. Our animal-loving community got to see her blossom into a loving mom and follow each of her puppies get adopted into their own furever homes.
Sweet and friendly, Juliet found her happily ever after with Janis and Michael in early July after she was done nursing her 13 pups.

"She is always happy to see her neighborhood buddies Howie, Jasper, and Lola. She is smart and obedient, especially when there is a treat involved.  She also has a little bit of a bossy streak-this involves “talking” to us and attempting to herd us around. We try not to let her see us laughing! Thank you again for the time and effort you put into rescuing these wonderful creatures. And thank you for allowing us to have this wonderful soul in our lives," said Michael and Janis.
Thank you, Janis and Michael, for giving this deserving Mama the happy life and loving home she deserves!
