Animal Care Associate:

As an Animal Care Associate, you are responsible for providing high-quality care to the animals within HSVC. You will perform specialized work in providing care for animals in the shelter, including feeding and caring for animals, socializing the animals, maintaining clean and sanitary conditions, treating and medicating animals, maintaining records, and providing customer service. You will assist in the adoption process to help match pets with their new forever homes while maintaining a courteous and professional attitude. 

Compensation/Hours: Full-time, day shift, weekends as needed, $17.62 per hour

Veterinary Assistant:

The Veterinary Assistant/RVT is responsible for assisting the Humane Society of Ventura County's Veterinarians with multiple types of procedures. This position provides the highest quality of care for animals in areas such as physical examinations, restraints, dental procedures, surgeries, immunizations, euthanasia, etc. Ideal candidates must have good customer service skills and demonstrated capability of educating the public on animal health and treatment. They must maintain a positive and professional attitude while working with other employees, volunteers, visitors, and the public and advocate for the philosophy, programs, and policies of the Humane Society of Ventura County.

Compensation/Hours: Full-time, day shift, weekends as needed, $18.00 - $25.00 per hour based on experience

Client Service Representative:

Client Service Representatives are the first friendly faces visitors meet when entering the front office of the shelter. They are responsible for providing informative, courteous, and timely customer service to all visitors. This position facilitates adoptions, answers incoming calls, intake stray animals, maintains files for animals under our care, and more. Our Client Service Representatives coordinate with Human Officers, Animal Care Associates, and additional staff to help find each shelter animal their ideal home. 

Compensation/Hours: Full-time, day shift, weekends as needed, $18.50 per hour
