Humane Society of Ventura County is Awarded $42,000 Grant To Help Needy Animals
The Humane Society of Ventura County is pleased to be the recipients of a $42,000 grant from the GlobalGiving Foundation, recently secured by Grant Associate, Ralph Saccomano. A portion of these resources has already been put to good use with the purchase of a new horse stock trailer and initial support for our recently implemented Pantry 4 Paws program. GlobalGiving is the largest global crowdfunding community connecting nonprofits, donors, and companies in nearly every country, and we at the HSVC are grateful for their generosity.
The HSVC has become an important resource for disaster relief in Ventura County due to the experiences from the Thomas Fire in 2017 and the Hill and Woolsey Fires in 2018. Within hours of each of these disasters, the HSVC began 24/7 transport services rescuing large farm animals from impacted areas. Maintaining this high level of services required an additional horse stock trailer to be added to our fleet of vehicles.
If you would like to help support the HSVC and have any information about relevant grants to help us further our mission please contact Ralph Saccomano at (805) 646-6505 x115 or [email protected].
